One event parking system, from first booking to last car out
parktec is event parking software built by the team behind Event Support Team, after 25 years of running car parks at UK stadiums, festivals and shows. Many venues still juggle a booking page from one supplier, a capacity spreadsheet from another and a printed list at the gate. parktec replaces all three with one secure, UK-hosted system: drivers book against their number plate, your office watches the numbers live, and stewards check plates at the gate on a phone or tablet. Because every part reads the same database, the gate checks against the same bookings your office sees.
Branded pre-booking sites
Each venue gets its own event parking booking system in its own colours, with its badge front and centre, so drivers know they are booking with you. They enter their plate, choose the day they are coming and get an instant confirmation email. The vehicle make and model are looked up from the plate, so each booking shows the car itself. Single-day and multi-day events are both covered, with zoned passes and PDF e-tickets where a venue needs them.
A live control room for event car parking management
Your team sees booked, arrived and spaces left in real time, per car park and per day. Bookings can be imported and exported by CSV, and you can message drivers straight from the control room when plans change. Each venue's data is kept to that venue.
Capacity that cannot be oversold
Capacity is set per car park, per day, and enforced automatically. When a car park is full for a day, that day stops selling. Every booking made through parktec, and every import, counts against the same numbers in one database, so the office, the booking site and the gate all work from the same totals. Read more in how to stop overselling event parking.
Season passes
Season pass holders can be booked onto every home game in one go, as at Millwall, where passes are checked by plate across three gates. Drivers also get follow-up emails for plate changes, cancellations and season passes.
ANPR at the gate, on phones and tablets
The parktec gate app runs on iPhone, from the App Store, and on Android phones and tablets. The number plate is read on the device itself, so there is no extra equipment to wire up. Green means let them in; red means stop, backed by a warning tone and vibration. Once the booking list has downloaded, the app keeps checking plates fully offline and syncs the moment signal returns, which matters in a field with no coverage. Stewards sign on with a simple PIN. See ANPR event parking for the detail, or how ANPR parking works at events for the plain-English version. Fixed-lane cameras for permanent lanes are in development.
Unbooked vehicles, patrols and end-of-day sweeps
- Every refusal on record: a car with no booking gets a red result, and each refusal is logged with the plate, time, car park and steward.
- Turn a refusal into a booking: stewards can sell an unbooked driver a space on the spot, or look the customer up by email and add their plate.
- Patrols: roaming stewards can check parked cars without counting them against capacity.
- End-of-day sweeps: using the gate app on an Android device, a steward scans the car park and every car is sorted into booked, wrong zone, wrong car park or not on the system, for a team lead to review.
Customer emails and texts
Every online booking is confirmed by email automatically. Orders through the parktec checkout are also confirmed by text when the customer gives a mobile number. Your team can send updates to booked customers by email, text or both, choosing who receives them, and customer replies reach your team.
Working alongside JustPark
parktec works alongside JustPark. Venues that also sell parking through JustPark can carry on doing so, with those bookings able to come into the same gate list, so stewards check every driver the same way whichever channel they booked through.
Who our event parking software is for
- Stadiums and clubs: car park management for stadiums covering match-day, season and hospitality parking. Clients include The FA, Millwall, Leicester City, Wrexham AFC, Coventry City, Sale Sharks, Gloucester Rugby and Worcester Warriors.
- Festivals and showgrounds: festival parking and showground car parks on rural sites, where the offline gate app earns its keep. Tramlines and Splendour are among the festivals we work with.
- Exhibition and sports venues: arenas, racecourses and multi-day shows that need sports venue and exhibition venue parking systems run car park by car park and day by day.
- Councils: pre-booked parking and capped capacity that keep event traffic off the public highway and out of residential streets.
Event ticketing as well
parktec also sells event entry tickets and parking together in one checkout inside the organiser's own website. Every payment goes into the organiser's own Stripe account; parktec never holds the money, and our fee is invoiced separately, never deducted from sales. Refunds are always pressed by a person, never automatic. Ticket buyers get Apple and Google Wallet passes for entry, the number plate is the parking pass, and rugged handheld scanners check tickets at the gate even without signal. Xplosive Events sells tickets and parking for Abingdon Funfair & Fireworks this way.
