Ticketing built for fireworks displays and shows
A fireworks display, an agricultural or county show, or a drive-in event sells more than a ticket. Your customers need to know how they are getting in, where they will park and when to arrive. parktec sells entry tickets and parking together in one checkout on your own website, plans the traffic from the postcodes your customers book from, and scans every ticket at the gate, with or without signal. It comes from the team behind Event Support Team.
Xplosive Events chose parktec for Abingdon Funfair & Fireworks at Abingdon Airfield, the Ardingly Fireworks Spectacular at the South of England Showground, The Cotswolds' Biggest Fireworks Display at South Cerney Airfield and Christmas in the Sky, a drive-in event at Abingdon Airfield.
Entry tickets and parking in one checkout
Customers choose their tickets and their parking in a single basket and pay once. The checkout drops into your own website with one line of code and takes on your colours, fonts and logo, so your customer books and pays without leaving your site.
- Several ticket types per event, such as adult, child and family, each with its own price, capacity and order limit
- Group tickets that admit several people on one pass
- Parking sold by arrival slot, each slot with its own price and capacity
Arrival slots spread the cars out before anyone sets off. Each slot has its own capacity, so once a popular time is full, customers pick another instead of everyone turning up at once.
Drive-in event tickets, sold per vehicle
For drive-in shows the ticket is for the car. Drive-in events are sold per vehicle, with no separate parking step, and every order gets one QR pass per vehicle ticket, ready for Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.
Ready for the big announcement
When the line-up or the date goes out, the rush comes all at once. parktec opens on time and holds its limits.
- Timed on-sales that open to the second, with early orders refused
- A private priority code that unlocks a priority hour before general sale
- Final release prices, with prices that step up to a final price at a set time, or at the flick of a switch
- Capacity holds, with stock held for open checkouts so a rush cannot oversell
- Percentage discount codes, limited by event, dates and number of uses
- Sales paused or reopened from your console at any time
Traffic planned before the first car arrives
Fireworks displays and agricultural shows often sit on airfields and showgrounds reached by a handful of roads. parktec gives each car a car park, gate and route based on the postcode it travels from, and moves on to the next car park when one fills.
Your traffic page shows where bookings come from as they sell: maps by postcode district, likely approach roads, cars per arrival slot and cars per hour, with planning sliders to model bigger crowds. Only postcode districts are sent to mapping services, never names or full postcodes. See how this fits with your car parks on our event parking software page.
Wallet passes and texts, nothing to print
Every order gets a confirmation email with one QR pass per ticket, and a text with the order link. Passes carry your event name and your brand colours.
- Apple Wallet and Google Wallet passes for entry tickets
- A text giving each car its car park colour, gate and arrival slot
- Parking customers can change their plate, or move to a slot at the same price or less, from their order page
Offline scanning at the gate
Signal at showgrounds and airfields can be patchy. Rugged Zebra handhelds check every ticket live while there is signal, and hold the full ticket list so they keep deciding on the device when there is none. The same offline design was proven at the Worcester Show in August 2026.
- Clear green ADMIT, amber ALREADY USED and red NOT VALID results
- Refunded tickets show as DO NOT ADMIT
- Group tickets show how many people to let in
- Where your event uses the parktec gate, every paid car goes straight onto the gate list for your parking team
On the day, a live control room shows tickets and cars admitted per lane, refusals and scanner status, so your team sees the same picture at every gate.
Your money, in your own Stripe account
Every ticket and parking payment is taken on your own Stripe account. You are the merchant of record, and your business name appears on the customer's card statement. Stripe pays your bank on the schedule set in your own Stripe dashboard, and the money never passes through a parktec account.
- An optional booking fee, from 0 to 30%, set by your admins and paid into your account
- Optional cancellation cover your customers can add at checkout, paid into your account
- parktec's fee is invoiced to you separately and is never taken out of your ticket sales
Every event is different, so we quote for yours. Read more on how you get paid.
Refunds pressed by a person
Nothing is refunded automatically. Every refund is pressed by a person, normally an admin in your team, and the money goes back from your own Stripe account. Customers with cancellation cover can ask to cancel before your cut-off, and you approve or decline.
Set up with you
The parktec team builds your events, ticket types and car parks, links your Stripe account and approves your website for the checkout. Your staff sign in, including with Google, and can be limited to the events they work. Running a county show or festival site?
