About parktec

parktec is the complete parking platform for venues and events: branded online booking, a live control room and ANPR at the gate, all in one secure UK system. It was built by the team behind Event Support Team and Big Parking, with a heritage in event parking stretching back to 2009.

Decades on real event days

Our story did not start with software. It started in car parks, managing traffic at major UK stadiums, concerts and festivals in every kind of weather. We were the first in the UK to bring online pre-booking to the events industry, and we have been refining how it should work ever since. Big Parking Ltd is a member of the British Parking Association (member number 13956), and we are still on the ground at festivals and events every weekend, checking in tens of thousands of vehicles.

Why we built parktec

For years we watched venues juggle a booking page from one supplier, a capacity spreadsheet from another and a clipboard at the gate. Nothing talked to anything else, spaces got oversold and drivers queued. So we built the platform we always wanted on site: one system where visitors book against their number plate, the venue team watches bookings, arrivals and spaces left live, and gate staff scan plates with a phone and get a simple green or red. Because everything runs on one secure database, the gate always agrees with the bookings and a car park can never be oversold.

Proven where it matters

We ran the parking at the Novuna UK Athletics Championships in Birmingham, and we work alongside JustPark. parktec is tested where conditions are hardest: muddy rural sites with no signal, where the gate app keeps scanning fully offline and syncs the moment coverage returns.
